anyone suggest anything on the web,
for home XP running 256 meg on BB
not for me, for my GF
must be EASY to update etc

Avast is great, i have said countless amount of times AVG has a low detection rate, so lots of things can get the better of your system, still both have and easy to use interface and will auto update if you want them too, however they will both slow down your computer dramatically due to only having 256mb of ram

I find Avast ok - small enough footprint - looking at my PC now the combined memory useage is about 22mb. Should stick some more RAM in that PC though, 256 is on the low side and memory is cheap
