Question Beginner's question re: security software
When my computer had to be reformated, AVG was installed as security. I use to use Spybot, but it was wiped out. I have been reading much about Avast, is it possible to download it in addition to the AVG; or do you need to uninstall one to have the other. I would not be good with one that requires a lot of tweaking & maintenance. Had Norton & McAfee years ago--hated them! Concern is compatibility, don't want a "lock up" again.

you can only have 1 AV running or yes they will conflict you can have many anitspy programs, i would suggest Avast as always because of AVGs low detection rate but its really down to personal preference
