Pc got restart on heavy load (sume says its torrent lan virus)
hi i am facing this problem from last 2 weeks my pc and my roommate lab have this similar problem both get restated when there is some heavy load.
i am using wix xp sp2 home and he is using wix xp sp2 pro
both have kaspersky anti virus.
i got some little info that it's came from torrent and it's store between it c: and d: drive and it's transfer itself to over the lan machines as don't know how it can.
kaspersky say's it a clean machine.
already formated C: part 2 times.
i am running with duel core, 1gb ram and nvidia gp card.
the main thing is problems are same in my pc and his laptop.
hope u ppl can help us out.
note: we both use torrent very often and frequently you can see in last 2-3 months we lived on it.
so what you are saying is that you PC restarts itself when it is under load? when you say underload do you mean playing games?
this doesnt neccessarily mean you have a virus, it could be that the powersupply in your machine is failing, or your cpu is overheating. what are the specs on your machine?
not game on 3ds max
later on i found this blue screen saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
and name of given file is nv4_mini.sys
i searched it on google it's a nvidia driver file
i uninstall nvidia driver and install suggested one from autodesk web site.
now restarting problem is solved but some time it's still hangs the mouse for some seconds
it's happening when i play songs specially. songs getting hanged some time like ddddddddddddddd and then run normally again.
