Solved: Flashing Norton Icon.
I have had a flashing icon in my systray all evening.
When I put my cursor on it it says;
Auto Protect is processing a threat. Should it be on so long.

Maybe, I would get off line and not do anything on your PC and then see if it does the scan faster. It may be something that gets used when your online that it found and the scan keeps starting over.
Also if you got cable set it to standby or off so you know nothing is getting out.
