Unhappy Need help desperately!!!
Hi everybody,
My computer is screwd up badly. I've accidently opened up a file I shouldn't have, and now the entire computer is screwed up! I can't use the kaspersky anti-virus (it disabled it), I can't install a new one (saying I need admin rights, which I never had to), my wireless network has been disabled (due to the virus I presume) and every time I try to boot up in safe mode, it reboots the system. It can't log on to windows on safe mode!!!
What can I do? I really need to work this out!

Please help me...

Hi "I can't install a new one..kaspersky anti-virus" can you boot to normal mode?
If it's not and your using Xp.try a repair install.
Insert the XP cd in the CD ROM Drive then switch on the computer.

You will receive the following message:

This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft Windows XP to run on your computer:

To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.
To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.
To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.
----------------------------------------------------------
DO NOT at this point select R.... DO NOT SELECT R

Select ENTER
----------------------------------------------------------
On the Windows XP Licensing Agreement screen
Press F8 to agree to the license agreement

Select current installation of Windows XP.and then

Press R to repair Windows XP.
----------------------------------------------------------
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to repair Windows.
After you repair Windows , you may have to reactivate your copy of Windows XP

It's not that easy... Let's just say that the windows is working just fine without buying it... (if you know what I mean...)

Hi, Apparently you mean an invalid install of XP?

We can't help you with that....you can't help yourself without a way to repair or reinstall....

Have to Close your thread...you can appeal to an Admin if you wish...see TSG Rules
