netstat -an listing help
hiya i am new to the forum and have been having trouble with my network, i am useing windows vista and winXp 64 pro. what i would like to know is when you type netstat -an into the cmd prompt i get a load of stuff come up along with port numbers some stating lisi
tening and some with last_ack what would that mean last_ack? also have loads of udp ports at the end with things like [fe80::c5ec:1a19:d099:ae3e%11] and one just come up in the middle with the ip adress and port then
[fe80::c5ec:1a19:d099:ae3e%11]:2177 [:]:0 Listening
not seen this before can some one explaine as i did a google search and got nothing at all, the first set above is the same numbers asi did not wish to copy all the numbers just incase they should remaine secure.

hope some one can explaine this as not seen it before as listening.
also when setting up the private net address should i be useing netbios over tcip or disable netbios over tcip? thats in both versions of windows.

many thanks
Darkman
