Question Detected Downloads Pop-up
For a while now I've noticed that whenever I close my browser, a box pops up. It's a little bigger than the task manager, and it only lasts for a fraction of a second. Theres nothing in the box, but the header says something that I could never make out until today, when for whatever reason, it froze.

All it said was "Detected Downloads" in the header. I know this isn't normal, but I have no Idea what it is. Also, Firefox takes a lot longer than it used to when starting up, and it always says it's not responding for a short time after it opens. This also happens periodically as I brows, and last for 10-15 seconds.

I have Windows XP, Mozilla Firefox, and a 10mb connection. I clear my cookies/temp files regularly and use Clean-Up! every few days, which flushes out all the extra junk files. I'm using AVG free, Nod 32, and Spy-bot S&D with tea timer.

Any idea what this is?

Thanks in advance,

Samiches

Found someone mentioning that "Detected Downloads" as part of a 'Distrust' plugin/extension for FireFox?

I do have distrust, so that's relieving, but never mind that...

I fixed it! I just needed to find the right Anti-virus program for my problem, and believe me, I've tried a ton.

I discovered Cure It just yesterday in the poll section, and within 5 minutes of scanning it had already removed 7 or 8 Trojans that nothing else ever found, because they were embedded in the AVG free vault. I honestly cannot believe how fast my computer is running now! It boots up crazy fast, and Firefox is like Zeus Lightning!

This forum is awesome!
