Question Virus cause Windows XP services to stopped can't restart?
Hello,
I was recently infected with a LOT of spyware and a couple of viruses. I went to install a different virus program and was not able to. Looked in the services, and the MSinstaller was stopped. Looked further and found that the majority of my services were stopped with the exception of RPC. When I tried to restart them I got the message that service name cant be started in Safe Mode even though the computer wasn't in safe mode. Has anyone heard of this happening before and how to do you fix it. I finally had to reinstall the OS.
