Cool Slow Boot Up
Hi, I have uninstalled norton on my PC and installed AVG 7.5 free version.Since doing so my PC boots up really slowly, can you please advse

Check that all referencies to Norton have been uninstalled.
Remove Norton
Check what's running at startup.

Hi

All reference to Norton have now been uninstalled, but the PC is still very slow booting up. Is there anything else that I need to do?

run norton's uninstall tool as posted above ,it will take out the left over files.

Hi

I have done all that you have suggested and if anything my PC is now slower than it was. Is there anything else that I can do?

Hi slow bootup or slow system??
Checking your last post Jan08 your system was cleaned by one of our Hjt log experts.
Hopefully it's still clean.
