Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes...

We have Symantec Antivirus installed and one of our kids has been messing with the computer. The shortcut for this on the desktop has gone, when I click Start, progs etc the folder for this is emtpy yet somehow, on the taskbar by the clock, there is an icon still there so I can click on that to do scans etc.

Does anyone know how I can get the desktop shortcut back from this please? I've had a look in the Symantec folders in prog files and there are so many icons its confusing.

Go to Start>Programs and the Symantec startup title should appear. Righ click on this and click on the "Create shortcut" command. Another Icon with the number 2 should appear. Drag this onto your desktop and edit it to remove the number 2.

Hi, Clik "start", hover over "all programs", when the list shows up, hover over "Noton Anti-Virus" it should give you options of "launch anti-virus" ( that's the one you want) "read-me"etc. Clik on "launch Anti-Virus" & drag it to your desktop, release the mouse clik & select create short-cut here!
That's it.
