recycle bin what a challenge
I some how today deleted files in the recycle bin and now I'm looking for a free recovery program , I just need the files I deleted today .I don't need files coming back 2 or 3 years ago.

I had a free recovery progran, I used before but cannot find out where I got it.Is it okay if I use a recovery progran ? I had some malware and virus in the past that may come back if I use a recovery progran ?

How do you set the date for the recovery progran ? Only files I deleted today?I don't need thousands of files comming back.

Hi "I had some malware and virus in the past that may come back if I use a recovery progran ?"
You say you want to go back One day.
How far in the past were there Malware,Virus on your system?

"And how do I set it so only files in the past day I deleted"
The recovery program will show the date any file was deleted.

I was talking to my friend and he is in IT and was telling me not to do that.Any malware or virus will come back if I use any recovery program.

Also saying you cannot set the program to only bring back files 5 or 10 days ago.

I think you can choose which files you want to recover, I don't think these progs(as suggested by blues_harp28) will just restore everything - if I'm wrong will someone please let me know!! (Thanks).

I use 'Restoration' by Brian Kato (available free from Snapfiles) and with that I can chosse exactly what I want to resue.

Hi 1002richards.
Recently used Undelete-plus and it does restore most files, including video, but only if they haven't been overwritten.
But the longer you leave the restore, it becomes more unlikely that a restore can take place.

As for spelling I use Tiny spell and it works a treet.. treart, Treat.

I ran that program at undelete plus and the files are bad.Only the files a day old work.

http://www.undelete-plus.com

Also I'm having problems with the recycle bin that delete the stuff I put in there .Is it because of a file size problem or in the settings it deletes the stuff after the computer turns off?

It seems I put stuff in the recycle bin and it will stay there to I put other stuff in the recycle bin and it will delete the old stuff.

If the Pc has been on and in use, files may well be overwritten.
