How does THIS happen?
Windows xp SP2
I wil NOT ask how to recover a password as I know that is forbidden,my question is,how is it that my daughter unplugged her computer and moved it,reset it back up,turned it on and her password WILL NOT work. This is the same one she has used for 4 years. No one has acsess to it and it was off for about 2 hours in her possesion. It just keeps saying "did you forget your password?"I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight as to WHY this happened.Thank you for any help in advance.

Hi,

The message you are getting indicates that you, or she, is not typing the password correctly....check that the "Caps Lock" key is not pressed or on... and, try manually typing in the correct password.
