Strange Problem...
I've a Dell 4300 running XP & SP2.
Am running Avast, Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster.
Plenty of memory and all other functions except the one I'll address function, properly.

The problem:

I joined an online website, "Classmates.com".
Applied for & recieved a Reg# *&* password via email to be used upon my first visit as a member to gain entry.
Didn't work.

Later after writing an email to inquire as to the problem, CM.com told me to use my email addy (in lieu of their Reg#) AND the PW they provided. (I guess the idea being I could change the PW in my "account" section, once I was in the system.)
Fair enough.

Problem is I've YET to be permitted entry to the website.
From what I can tell on my end the issue's allegedly because of the security settings on my computer as evidenced by both the "Privacy Report" and "Internet Security Settings", both uSoft XP features.

I double-clicked on "Privacy Report" & a dialog box appears listing all the blocked *cookies*.
Sure enough CM.com is among the list along with a dozen other CM.com initiated stuff, ie, images etc.

In any event I hilited the first cookie & selected, "Summary".
Once in the summary section I selected: "Always Allow This Site To Use Cookies"
Did that for all the CM.com cookies in the Privacy Report dialog box.

My selection's radio button hilites the entry telling me I've chose to accept [that] cookie.
However going back to the Summary dialog box [that] cookie is still maked as, "Blocked".

Apparently my computer's security's simply NOT allowing me to choose what sites I do and don't want to patronize.
Frustrating.

FWIW I wrote CM.com articulating my trouble to which I recieved a form reply which did not address the issue. I wrote again and this time a CM.com rep, "Vaughn", RE-registered me and I recieved another Reg# *&* PW.

Using my email addy and the new PW I gained access to the first tier of the website, "My Account"; but, could go no further without getting, "Page Not Available" screen by XP.

Is there *anyone* here whose seen this kind of thing, before?
If so what can I do to rectify this matter?
What am I missing, here?

Either it's lousy software on the part of the website; or, a uSoft issue.
Can anyone help?
TIA, straz
