NIS 2008 - hpwucli.exe
I ran the HP Software update a few days ago to see if there were any updates. They were 2, but deferred from installing them.

My problem:

Today when I went into NIS 2008 and looked in “View History”, I saw that “hpwucli.exe” was listed as behaving suspiciously and the recommended action was: No action required.

Below is what showed up when I clicked more detail:

“ALERT SUMMARY:

Level: Low
Title: hpwucli.exe behaved suspiciously.
Status: Detected
Recommended Action: (blank)

Advanced details.

Program: c:\programfiles\hp\hp software update\hpwucli.exe
Risk Level: Low
Affected Area: Suspicious behavior
Activity: Direct memory access
Resource: \device\physical memory

hpwucli.exe accessed the protected resources listed above. You may remove this
program.”

Also, in the Norton Internet Security Option, under Personal Firewall-Program Control, hpwucli.exe is listed with access as auto.

Do I have a problem? Do I need to have my computer looked at to see what the problem is, if any?
