Unhappy Avira closes automatically
Hi all,
I run Vista + Spybot + CCleaner + AVIRA PE Classic.
I've been having few issues with AVIRA. Microsoft error message sais :
"Antivirus On-Access Service stopped working and was closed. A problem was caused the application to stop working correctly windows will notify ...."
Is this something to warry about
?
Until now, I each time restarted the PC.

Malware could be conflicting. Post a HiJackThis log. I reccomend reinstalliation but, we should still check for pest.

http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes...4-10804572.htm
http://downloads2.superantispyware.c...ntiSpyware.exe

Check for pest and post the logs of both programs here. When did this start happening by the way?

Hi did you try reinstalling Avira?

Only those with a Gold Shield next to their name can check Hjt logs for Malware etc.
Click on the Report button at the bottom of your post and ask one of the Moderators to move your post to the Malware and Hjt log forum.
They are always busy,so it may take some time.

You should get rid of the fallowing but, If you want to wait for a 'qualified' member to answer it with the gold sheild go ahead. I'm going for the courses to get approved for Gold Shield status though so I'm not there yet.

Hi BlueEyedFox,

Do you beleive it would be urgent for me to remove the BHO ? And if yes, how should I do it ?
I have uninstalled and re-installed AVIRA, + S&D with Spybot then CCleaner.

Hi BlueEyedFox.
You will need to read the forum rules.
http://forums.techguy.org/malware-re...es-effect.html

clavinova you should wait for a reply to your post in the Malware and Hjt log forum.
They will be able to help you.

BHO's that are wanted and safe should have a name, A company, a background. This is probably a pest or unwanted.

You reinstalled AVIRA and its still closing automaticly?

Sadly, I am not permitted to help you with HiJack this log so I am not reccomending anything. I just wanted to point out that is potentionally malware or a unwanted BHO and useless but, please wait before you do and ask a 'blue shield' member in the section about this one.

Hi blueeyedfox,

I think I found the solution to my AVIRA problem from Avira forum. It sounds this was caused by the last update version. I uninstalled and did the registery cleaning after few trials, sounds OK now.
I'll do the necessary with this BHO and thanks for your advise. I have always been very happy with advices on this forum and am very thanksful to all members with their help. It is not always easy to know where to post but I understand their should be rules for users to follow. Tkx again.

Hi clavinova.
I see your Hjt log has yet to be given the ok as far as being clean etc.
If you return to that post and type Bump. it will go to the top of the list and you may get a reply.
