AVG tech help from somebocy that has intelect???
my computer recently started messing up due to media player corrupt files. i believe i have it fixed. but ever since the firewall has been down and won't re-enable. it runs through the config, but int he last screen comes up with this error- e001018b. there is NO error trouble shooting of any sort in program or on the net. both emails i've sent have come back as the default "check the faqs pages". has anybody heard of this??

This may or not be an intellectual reply.
Reinstall your Firewall.
What version of Avg are you using?

Try.
Open Avg program from the tray>click on Firewall and>select Firewall profile>change to stand alone computer>save the changes>reboot.
You will then be asked to allow or not programs, application that should have access to the net.

Had the same problem and renaming the file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg8\Cfg\fw.cfg got me past the error and allowed me access to the firewall settings. My file was 38 MB. Before I renamed the file I wasn't able to start the service or change any settings.
