Trojan horse Generic10.VPD
AVG has found this: Trojan horse Generic10.VPD. Strangely, it is in a .zip file that I've had for about a year and in a back-up on a usb drive dated 04-03-08. I am not the only one. The same issue is posted all over. Mostly people using AVG. I was surprised not to find any mention of it here. I don't know how seriously to take it.

Can you tell me:
Is it a false positive?
Is it dangerous?
Why is it just now being found?
Can I just set it up to delete the whole backup on restart? Or manually delete it?

I do not know much about the Trojan but the reason it is being detected now is because possible it was just added to the definitions.

Little slow on the draw then aren't they?

I cannot find any information on AVG's website or any other website about the Trojan. Neither can anyone else.

Can you answer one of my other questions: Can I just set it up to delete the whole backup on restart? Or manually delete it?

One of the places it is lurking about is in a backup on my other drive. Evidently AVG can't quarantine it.

Thanks
