Solved: Best free antivirus software for Windows ME?
I've been using AVG free edition for a laptop running Windows ME. Now with the new AVG 8.0 out, that version no longer supports Windows ME. After May 31, 2008, AVG will no longer update antivirus definition for previous versions (so I am told). Is there a good free replacement I can use?

My second computer is Win ME. I have run Avast on it for a couple years will great results. I also have an older version of Free ZoneAlarm firewall installed too.

On my mom's computer, Win 98SE, installed on it is Avast antivirus also. Older ZoneAlarm(free firewall) works great too.

Thank goodness for AVAST! There are still many people using older OS, either by choice or necessity.

I will be installing AVAST on my Wind XP as soon as Norton AV 2008 subscription runs out.
