Solved: Trend Micro removal
Friend just got a new Dell machine loaded with Trend Micro anti virus.I Uninstalled it and replaced with AVG 8.0. But TM won't go away; keeps trying to make contact ,but stopped at Sunbelt firewall. Noticed in C/Program/Trend Micro ( XP) still a small file called something like "...hook.dll" that I can't delete. How do I get rid of this pest? Thanks Dave

Hi seems to be a debate about Hook.dll being good or bad.
http://www.file.net/process/hook.dll.html
Get them to check if any Trendmicro files are in msconfig.
Start>run>type.
msconfig
Startup tab.
