Nero 7 Trojan???
I'm running AVG anti-virus and it keeps finding the following infected file:

C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Nero Vision\cximage.dll

Threat Name: Trojan horse Generic10.ABRY

Is this an actual trojan? Or just a mistake?

Reinstall Nero from the original CD and run the scan again, maybe it really is infected.

Hi,

Reinstalling Nero is a good way to go, no problem with that...though, you may need to also run the Updater in Nero, or go manually to the Ahead Nero support site and download the latest version plus any updates for the program.

Here, it shows the file as part of Nero

http://www.programchecker.com/file/34778.aspx

- You can compare the file size and Properties to see if it is legit.

More than likely it's a false positive, as there does seem to be a file exactly named the same, that can be malware.....so AVG may be alerting you based on a file signature...

Scan the one file at this site below, for a very quick report to show if it is malware, or not:

http://virusscan.jotti.org/ Simply use the "Browse" button therre, navigate to the file's location on your hard drive, highlight the file once with mouse, then the path to it will show in the "Submit" space at Jotti site> Hit the Submit button to upload the file for an exam

Today my AVG anti-virus showed "Trojan Horse Generic 10 ABRY as a virus" same as cbrown6305 has. In addition it also added C:\program files\common files\ahead\lib\cximage as infected with the same "Trojan Horse" as the Nero7. Are there any answers out there.

As bytman says, It is probably a false positive.

Try scanning it on www.virustotal.com

Its a Nero file, post the Virus Total scan here
