Solved: How do I remove Advanced XP Fixer
This program is on my sister's PC and acts like s Smitfraud bug. It pops up and starts running a scan and I'm sure it's a malware program, but I don't know how to get rid of it.
Has anyone any ideas about, or has seen this particular bug?
How do I get rid of it?
I have run AVG antispy and Spybot S&D but no joy.

Well, I finally figured it oudt.
I used AdAware 2007, which found and deleted the bug, then uninstalled it via Add/Remove programs.
Now if I could only figure out how to mark this thread "Solved".

Thanks, Byteman, I never looked there. Kept looking for Tools on the upper right side.

Yes, that's what we had before the latest software upgrade the forum uses!

Lot's of folks never looked there so the owner decided to put the Solved feature where it is now.
