AVG 8.0 conflicts with Thunderbird
System details:
Windows XP Home SP2
AVG 8.0 100 free edition
Thunderbird 2.0.0.14

Problem: a reproducible error with the AVG 'Email Filter' module. When Thunderbird starts it is set to ask for a master password, this dialogue is blocked by AVG's mail filter - disabling filter allows dialogue and therefore mail retrieval.

Emails cannot be sent from Thunderbird when the AVG mail filter is active - disabling Mail Filter allows smtp password/send correctly.

No support, knowledge base, forum or contact of any kind is offered by Grisoft because the product is free.

Any ideas anyone?
