Question Solved: Is Anyone Else having Problems with Ccleaner
I have Ccleaner 2.05.555 and for two weeks I've been getting an error message whenever I try to use it. It says that it is unable to complete the scan of my computer. I use WIN ME and up until two weeks ago everything was working fine. Can anyone provide an answer to my problem

I'm not having any problems with it on XP Home and I see from the System Requirements that it still works with ME.

Your current version is out of date, the latest one is 2.08.588, so you might want to try an update and see if it makes any difference.

Thank you for your responses. I had checked for an update but could not download it.

CCleaner's built in updater sometimes redirects to FileHippo, so you could try getting it from the direct link; http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

If that doesn't work you may have another problem. Obviously it won't be an MS update, but did you install or uninstall anything at the same time as the problem began?

You aced it, Golferbob. Once I uninstalled the older version I was able to install and use the newer version. Thank you so much. I'm glad that I'll still be able to use this little gem.
