Pc restarted
I got a problem with my laptop. Hoping somebody could give me abit of help here.

When i'm doing work halfway, my laptop will suddenly turn into blue screen which then requires me to turn it off and on agian. The blue screen came on and off, so i suspected one of the usb hub might have some problem with it so i stopped using it. Then i got some problem opening the music player file...My friend got some music files from me and foudn out that her pc went into blue screen as well... Now, my pc start to hang, and if i on my pc, or anything files with sound... the sound ... sounded like it's trying hard to open the file..(sort of like it's rapping sound). The condition using the laptop is getting worst.

Im using symmatic antivirus and it doesnt detect anything. Does anybody know what's going on with the pc?

Hi first remove said music files and see if the problem continues.
Blue screens can be associated with overheating.
Check your laptop isn't overheating.

Hi,
As the blues_harp28 said, check for overheating, if the temperatures are right, then it could be either a HDD problem (bad sector, wrong indexes etc.) or the music files may be corrupt or incomplete.

I would suggest running a disk check at boot time. Right click the partition in My Computer -> Properties -> Tools, there click on Error checking. Select automatically fix file system errors, If your drive is in use then an option will be presented which will schedule the disk check on next reboot. Accept it and reboot and let the disk check complete.

Next check the files are proper. Especially if you have downloaded it from a torrent client, then many torrent clients (e.g Azureus) create the full files first, (which have lot's of zeroes in them.. ), and then write the actual data in parts as it is downloaded. If the download is stopped, and if you tried to play these files then this can happen..

cheers.

P.S. Let us know what happens!!

I"ve deleted all the music files, and run the disk checking. Nothing pop -up after disk checking. And the pc is running super slow. If i open a sound file, the sound that it is lag and compressed is still there.

From what you are saying, the computer start up is taking a long time and the Windows start up sound is not normal.

I would check msconfig like Blues_harp says.

Additionally, I would check task manager ( right click on Task bar and choose Task Manager ). Go to the Processes tab. Click on the CPU column header to sort by cpu usage. Then see which process is using a lot of CPU power.

If your computer is slowing down a lot during normal use, maybe there is some malware running in the background. Download HijackThis and let the golden-shields take a look. HijackThis is available here:

http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...kthis/download

Use "Do a system scan and save a log file", and notepad will open with a log of what it finds, copy and paste the contents here. Don't ask it to fix anything.
