PC not loading correct profile
When i start my PC i get an error message saying Windows cannot load locally stored profile. This may be caused by security problems or curruption of the profile.

Once you press ok you then get a message saying Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile.

This has caused all files in my documents to not be avaiable to me and all programes that i have put onto the pc to not be avaiable.

Could someone please help me with this problem.

Many Thanks

Try to create another profile, and then once your in there, log out, and log back in as an admin, and copy everything in your original profile over to the new profile. Default location is C: Documents and Settings, you'll see all of the profiles in there.

Try that, and see if you get the same error.

Your profile may be unreadable by Windows, but Windows has a cached copy of it. Default location is C:\Documents and Settings\(Username)

or, on Vista...

C:\Users\(Username)

Look in there for the files and back them up. Then create a new profile and load the files.
