It can be...

Im working on a computer that was on Bearshare and Limewire. An AVG 2007 scan kicked up a staggering 1425 infections.

So, as a general rule of thumb, I stay away from p2p stuff. There are alternatives but I dont think we can recommend them.

Do you have the spystorm Trojan? In that case, try Ad-aware or Clamwin AV. I would try Ad-aware first, then Clamwin. Clamwin can only remove, not repair the damage caused by malware.

Yes it's bad because, first, you're using the programs illegally and, second, the hacked/cracked programs often include viruses.

Don`t waste your time, or your computer, if you use P2P, you will regret it.

If someone doesn't respond to your post for a few days, simply post the word "bump".

actually ferrija the malware removal forum is the one forum where it is a bad idea to "bump" a post. And it is recommended you leave it alone for 2 full days then if you have gotten no response to report it using the report button. (below is an exerpt from a dvk01 sticky)

Do not bump posts as that puts you at the bottom of the queue
We look for 0 replies first so any bump puts you to the bottom of the queue
If there has been no response to your post after 2 FULL days of posting then press the report button and one of the security mods will try to look at it

well you did a couple of things you shouldn't have, reading the sticky would have prevented that.

The fact you multi posted within the thread makes it look to the experts like someone is working with you. That means they don't go in and look at it.

since its been 2 days Click on the report button to let them know you still have not received any help. And don't ever try to fix anything using hiJack This yourself, it shows ALL running processes not just the bad ones. If you remove the wrong one you could really mess things up
