AVG 8.0 Warnings
I've just upgraded to the free AVG 8.0 and I did a scan. 0 infections found. 1 spyware - GSAPak.exe - It says it was removed. But I have a bunch of warnings. They all start with HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Activex Compatibility\ , then a bunch of stuff after that. Is it safe just remove all the warnings?
Thanks

don't freak over the warnings, they are just that ... warnings. They are signs that an infection may exist but the actual infections weren't found. There are two well documented conflicts with AVG 8 that are causing warnings during scans. If you use Spybots immunization feature it will trigger 30 warnings (at least it does for me, I just let AVG remove them then re immunize), The other one is spywareblaster which uses similar methods to spybot to protect you. I don't know how many active X components it installs though. If you root around the AVG forums you may find out a little more about these conflicts as there have been a lot of people on there complaining about them.
