Email Problem
Hi,

I have a quick question. I tried to send an email using thunderbird, and was told that it went through. The person I was sending it to did not receive it, and asked me to forward. I tried to forward, but it also did not work. I copy and pasted the text of the forward email into a new email, and thinking the issue was done dumped thunderbird (i've been using my webmail before, but chose to use the thunderbird on my desktop for some unknown reason. My question is: is there any reason why my computer would say it sends a message, but it does not, even though it is copied in my outbox? I was thinking maybe my firewall interfered? Any explanation would be wonderful. Thanks so much.

I dont know thunderbird, but in Outlook, when an email is shown in the outbox, it hasn't yet been delivered. When it is delivered , the outbox is empty.

sorry perhaps outbox was the wrong term, it was in the sent folder. Should I just chalk it up to lost email? I did notice before I got rid of it that the only time the emails would go through was if I sent it to my same email address. I tried sending it to a work email address and again did not receive it. Don't know if that helps at all
