Unhappy Solved: Help! Type_Win32 Infection
Has anyone seen this error on their computer:
Malicious code found in file C:\System Volume Information\_restore{62C77F73-25E8-4ACD-9DBE-A0531C624F7A}\RP593\A0057057.exe.
Infection: Type_Win32
Action: failed.

I have never seen anything like this before and it keeps popping up. I have run 2 virus scans, spyware/malware scans and can not seem to remove it.

Any help that you could provide me would be greatly appreciated!!!

That is an infection in the system restore. Follow these steps to remove it.

Clear Old System Restore Points
  • Turn System Restore off
  • On the Desktop, right click on the My Computer icon.
  • Click Properties.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • Check Turn off System Restore.
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.

  • Turn System Restore on
  • On the Desktop, right click on the My Computer icon.
  • Click Properties.

  • Uncheck *Turn off System Restore*.
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
Note: only do this once, and not on a regular basis
