I just noticed that AVG is not scanning my emails. I use AVG 8 (free). I installed it with the option to use the Personal plugin (email scanning option) since I'm using Thunderbird but when I looked at the AVG Email Scanner component, it says 0 scanned emails.
I also checked Services on Administrative Tools and AVG Email Scanner has started. I even restarted it.
I tried changing the server settings on AVG to the port that my email provider uses but to no avail.. but I noticed that there's no option for IMAP, only POP3. Is that the reason why AVG is not scanning my emails? Because I'm using IMAP?
