Talking Solved: Real Trojan horses?
I recently recieved a message stating:

"Attention! Some Dangerous trojan horses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted.
This may lead to the destruction of important files in C:\WINDOWS. Download portection software now!

Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommened)"

This message only appears when i try and use Internet Explorer.
But when i use Firefox the internet works fine.

I cannot access internet explorer at all because of this.

My firewall detects no problems and i have also done a system restore.

Is this a real trojan or is there a way of removing this kind of thing another way?

EDIT: i just downloaded IE7... i can load the homepage but anymore than that such as clicking links or writing in websites brings up the same message

sounds like you've got some wonderful ad-aware and spyware going on, your going to need to sweep it clean with whatever programs you have and i reccomend using Spybot Search and Destroy as well. If it's real bad, you will need to scan the computer while in safe mode and also need to go into your registry to remove the malware.
