Norton 360 will not wokr iwth outlook, AOL or firefox
I have installed norton 360. On the initial install Norton 360 defragged my desk. Since installing Norton 360 the following has happened:
  1. Outlook will not recieve incoming e-maills unless the e-mail scanning is turned off.
  2. Firefox crashes on opening
  3. AOL opens and logs in fine but when I go to check my AOL e-mail it shuts down
Things that Norton support has done:
  1. completely uninstalled and reinstalled Norton 360 multiple times
  2. Told me that I needed to reinstall firefox (which I did with no apparent effect)
  3. Suggested that I might have SSL enabled on my e-mail and 360 will not work with SSL. (As it turns out I do not have SSL on the e-mail
  4. Finally after several calls has escalated the problem
I suspect that Norton has changed a security setting or dll somewhere that the uninstall is not reverting back. Has anyone got any ideas?

It might be,

for an Anti Virus, I would suggest AVG, Avira or Avast
