Good Malware Remedy
So I got myself a nice little malware thing on my machine which installed one of those wonderful "security programs" that kept telling me to buy their software to clean my machine, etc.

I couldn't get rid of it all, so I formatted the hard drive and started over. Now I want to be a little more dilligent about protecting myself against this sort of thing and I'm looking for good software that will help me avoid malware during those moments when my main security program is turned off (as it sadly was when I got that thing I just got) or if it just misses something, etc.

Can anyone out there recommend something good?
