This site forbids discussion on how to use torrent sites and software. You might get scolded by moderators for posting this, and they certainly won't help you. I'd answer, but the site TOS forbids it. Although people do bit-torrent programs like Firefox 3, the general assumption is that isn't what the technology is primarily used for, and as such members of TSG are asked to keep their hands clean.

Install a good antivirus - try Avast! free edition or AVG free edition. And remember - only install ONE antivirus program. Multiple anti-SPYWARE programs are OK provided they aren't realtime. Spybot SD and Ad-Aware are two of the best. These measures will help to protect you whatever you do online, but ultimately protecting yourself comes down to making smart choices.

Install McAfee SiteAdvisor plugin for your Internet Explorer or Firefox browser, and do a Google search for topics of interest to you. Sites listed with a green checkmark are generally good places to look for information. Do your homework thoroughly before you embark on any new adventures online.

Heh they also don't delete threads here. Believe me, I've tried Perhaps others will see this in a site search before they post a similar query.

Just to clear up anything.....here's
our FAQ's on Editing or Deleting your own posts:

Here's our new Library of Knowledge subtopic TSG FAQs:

Quote:
Can I edit my own posts?
You may edit and delete your posts, but we have implemented some some limitations: (1) you have only 24 hours to edit or delete a post before it becomes permanent, and (2) you may not delete the first post of a thread, as this may effectively delete another user's post.

To edit or delete your posts, click the Edit button by the post you want to edit.

After you have made your modifications, a note may appear, which notifies other users that you have edited your post. Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages if you post something that violates a rule.
We do delete some things, like spam posts, and duplicates, but not much else
