Security question?
Hi techies!

Hi have a question regarding my security.
I am currently behind a NAT router, using NOD32 Antivirus (Not smart security) and the Vista firewall, so my question is if I'm protected enough against hackers? I use my pc for netbanking etc. or do I need to get the Eset smart security suite in a hurry?

Regards Andersson!

My ports are stealthed as far as I can see, but what about the outgoing traffic, is Vista firewall enough or do I need a Internet Security suite instead?

Vista Firewall has outbound protection, but only if you turn it on - the default outbound policy is allow.

Go to Start / Administrative Tools / Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. In the center panel, click Windows Firewall Properties. Then choose the profile tab of your network, ( mine is the public tab ) and for the Outbound connections pull down menu, choose Block.

Then you need to add rules to allow each program to go out to the internet.
