Norton360.2 antispam problem
Hi...I would consider my experience as just a little better than a beginner. I subscribed to norton 360.2 in april. Since then I have been having trouble with spam going to my inbox and the antispam folder missing features when right click..ie "empty antispam folder". Option to block an e-mail, send to spam folder also missing when right click on email. I use Outlook Express.
I have been on live chat support 4 times now and each time it seemed to be fixed, but only for a few days, and then the spam appears again and those above mentioned features missing again. The 4th time the tech totally uninstalled and reinstalled the program including the add on pack. It was working fine for a few days until tonight. I have seen the tech configure enough times now to know that it isn't the problem. I have read the threads here and the solutions seem to be the same as what the techs did to try and resolve the problem. I am very frustrated and have spent hours on this problem. Can someone please help me?

Thank you

If I had a nickel...
I must answer this question at least 20X per week in my business and on my web site. Since peeking in here at TSG, I see it a lot here too. It's no fault of yours, Norton (like AOL) does so much advertising and cross pollination in new machines, that it is easy to pick the product up, but heck to get rid of sometimes. My advice is this:

Please stop using Norton products...they are slow, buggy and cause wierd problems like yours. Use something more effective and that won't cause problems with performance like Norton. I suggest you look at Avast or AVG Free.

thanks helpmerick...
It's just so frustrating because I just paid for the subscription thinking it would be a better bet than a free download. I did that once with zone alarm and had nothing but problems.
Well thanks for the info, but if someone else has any ideas please let me know.

I know it is a tough pill to swallow, but...
I do hope you find some direct help to your question here, but I truly believe that if you don't bite the bullet now, you MIGHT get this problem fixed or find a work around, but you will be back in a few weeks or months with another question about some esoteric conflict with Norton. Meanwhile your computer's performance will suffer the entire time the product is on your system.

Believe me, I hate giving this advice because I know it affects your pocket book, but I think you will the advice pays dividends if you try it.

Hi mickey,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team responding to your post.

I apologize that you are still experiencing problems with the Antispam feature of Norton 360. Can you please tell me if you have tried to run the Anti spam training wizard? This is the first step that should be taken to ensure that the Antispam feature is trained correctly for your mailbox.

Also, please let me know the exact version of both Norton 360 and the Norton Add-On Pack that you have installed so that I can assist you further.

Thank you,
Mike
