Question Browsers wont access internet
Hey all...
I got a similar thread in the web forum but thought it could fit in here also.

Hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. On my other computer neither firefox nor IE will access the internet. I have been having problems with Zonealarm earlier and shortly after, my browsers stopped responding to the web. I have uninstalled Zonealarm now and disabled all firewalls and AV programs that could be holding them back, but still a no go.

The thing that has me baffled is, I can ping websites and IP addresses successfully all day long in the terminal window. Even games that utilize the web work, but not my browsers. I have tried using the winsockxp fix. What do the browsers have in common that may prevent access to the web? Thanks anyone for the help.
