I'm looking to replace norton ...ZA....eset....?????
Hi,

I'm running a dual boot with norton internet security 08 on XP and Avast and comodo with defence plus on Vista.

I was looking into either the eset security suite or the zone alarm security suite...mainly because with norton on XP ahem..vista runs faster. Oh and it's a pain sometimes with it checking for updates even though auto update is off.

I was going to go for the zone alarm suite but read alot off ppl were having major slow down....and I also read the nod32 suite had a bad firewall.......argh.

Oh not to mention PCmag recommends norton 08 as the best:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2231625,00.asp

but then this conflicts:
http://www.matousec.com/projects/fir...ge/results.php ...I know it only relates to firewalls.

Any help would be great

I've used NOD32 on all of my business and home computers exclusively for over 3 years. Before that, I had been a Norton user since v. 1.0 (yep, the DOS original). You won't ever find 100% agreement among various testers, but I think Virus Bulletin has the most rigorous standards of any testing organization. You need to create a free user account to log on and look at the test archives, but you'll be able to check out years of test results for almost all vendors. The VB100 Awards are a terrific resource.
