Red face Solved: Adaware has been blocked from running on my PC!!
I have a paid-for Adaware Pro 2007 application that has been running quite happily since purchase.
I have it set up to download updates automatically but mid way during the last installation, the whole thing stopped worked and though hard to believe the entire application was wiped from my PC!!
Gone from prgram files and even search produces nothing and also nothing in the registry - thought that would have been impossible but looks like it uninstalled itself somehow??
Anyhow, I logged back into my account with Lavasoft and again download the software successfully but now get the message that "this publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine".
I disabled Windows Defender, Firewall and my anti virus program but still no joy.
Did a search on Google but no answers so far...............
Appreciate any help from the forum.
Thanks

Found it!
Fixed it by removing the Publisher in the trusted Publishers under Internet Options. Should have done it in the first place!
