Need Virus Opinion
Hello,

Just got a new laptop, would love to hear an opinion on which Virus scanner would do the trick for Vista. Had Mcafee that came preloaded. Took that off and now have Kaspersky for a trial. Use to love Norton 360. Kaspersky vs. Norton any IDeas? I don't mind paying for a good Virus scanner.... Any help would be appreceated. BTW After unistalling MCafee it left a blank task bar space any ideas of how to get rid of it?

Symantec Endpoint Security is by far the best thing ever put out on the market. And do not be mistaken, Symantec is no longer associated with Norton. You will still need to use additional things such as Spyware, AdAware, and Dr.WebCureit to completely cover yourself, but as of yet, I have not seen the need to use them.

For the blank task bar space, are you referring to the Notification Area (near the clock) or the quick launch? If it is the quick launch, then simply delete the icon. For the Notification Area, make sure you did not forget to uninstall any components. If not, then remove the entry from the start hive in the registry.

Hmm I wonder what gives. Norton and Symantec supposidly had issues, maybe they ironed them out?????
Sorry, I made an error up there. It should have been Symantec Endpoint Protection.
