Unhappy Weird Keyboard
i was logging on to my computer once when the password was rejected i retyped it into the user name and the letters i typed were scrambled eg when i typed a z, y came up. could this be some sort of virus?

You could try to restart, if that doesn't work then check the connection. If it's USB then unplug and replug it back in.

Try a different keyboard, try a different usb or ps/2 port, reboot, boot in last known good...
