anti-virus install question
Hi - I want to try out a couple of anti-virus programs but need info about how to do so. I am currently using AVG pro - not happy with AVG tech support so need to try others. Have had avg for quite a while and I find their tech support to be minimal even though you pay. Anyway, do I only need to temporarily disable the avg resident shield before installing other program? In doing so this will eliminate any chance of conflicts, I understand. Thanks in advance for any input to this.

Yes, just make sure all parts of AVG are disabled and it should go smoothly.

Thanks for both answers. With regard to disabling all of the components, I guess if I just exit out of the program from the task bar, that will essentially disable all of the components. Otherwise, I guess I can just disable the firewall, the resident shield and the web shield without exiting out of it. Don't really know what the difference would be. Anyway, thanks again.
