system restore tool not working
System restore not working?

yesterday i accidentally deleted several programs and after I realized, I tried to go back to the point before I deleted files using the system storage option on system tools, but it just does not work. No windows or popups or dialog box appears when I click on the system restore button. How can I restore my computer to the previous point? and where did the tool go?

i also tried doing it in safe mode it still didnt work in safe mode either.

and also I checked the restore turn on/off, and it is not turned off (actually never been turned off).

Hi check.

Some of your restore points may be corrupt and you may have turn off system restore and clear all restore points and then re-enable system restore.
Kellys-Korner link shows how to do that.

Do you mean it goes through the restart and comes back and says it was unable to restore or that it simply doesn't come on? The one thing I've learned about System Restore is that it never works for me when I desperately need it.
