Malware/Spyware on Extra Drives
My apolgies if this is more a hardware questin but the need is a Malware/Spyware Issue.

I have a setup with three harddrives and Windows XP that boots up seprately on two of the three based on changing of boot order. One single drive is for my kids and other 2 drives are for my stuff- OS on one partition and 6 other partitions with personal, work and various junk I have accumlated over the years.

On the kids drive I have removed the ability to see the other drives and they have the C drive.

My question is if a virus/malware/spyware infects the kids drive will it have the ability to replicate onto the other drives if Windows is not set up to see those drives?

Thanks,
CB.

Not very likely. It would need to get there somehow, but even more importantly, executed. Malware that is not executed is just dead code. I'd say your hidden drives are very safe, if they are truly hidden.
