AVG -revival ?
Hi
After posting some time ago re AVG -Spyhunter compatability,
went thru some interesting times.
Added comodo firewall which didn't seem to agree with what i already had
on pc. In short, deleted everything and then loaded AVG 8 (purchased)
again. pc seems to be running just fine now.
Has anybody tried the above, as numerous posts seemed to be
geared to avira or avast?
There was mention in a post of AVG being aware of the problem,
that's really the main aim of this thread, as i have purchased a years
worth of AVG...has anybody found AVG 8 to be beter now?

Even if Grisoft evens out some of the bugs in AVG, the detection rates are still way behind other antiviruses namely Kaspersky and Nod32

Thankx js for your input. To be honest, I didn't Really expect
a pro AVG answer. Will have to shop around for a suitable replacement then.

I've had problems with a paid version of AVG 8 conflicting with ZoneAlarm (free version) and a paid version of SpySweeper. I haven't installed the version I purchased anywhere but the free version doesn't have any issue with SpySweeper.

Peace...

avira free for 9 months on 6 boxes and love it. very fast and mildly aggressive, which I like,
better to error on that than the other
not a resource hog and have vast amount of different apps installed on my boxes and never once had a verifiable conflict yet...
Peace.
