Question SpywareBlaster?
Is 'SpywareBlaster' still considered to be one of the best free spyware protection programs? I just wanted to verify this one way or another before I spent the $10 for the automatic update renewal.

I do run CCleaner on a regular basis, but that only cleans things up after the fact.

Your suggestions?

Thanks,

Sasquatch

Yes, imo, it's a good added layer of protection but you don't have to have it update automatically. It's very easy to update it manually and you could do that on a daily basis.

I agree with the previous posters. I understand that SpywareBlaster is most effective against 'drive by' Active X installations which, if you don't use IE, means SB has less to do. However, it does have some 'protection' for Opera and Firefox, so it's still well worth having.
