Which Firewall with Vista SP-1?
Back to firewalls again!

Mainly due to the advice from this forum, I hit upon a good working combination of Comodo firewall/AVG Free 8.0/plus Firefox 3.0 which has served me well. It offered a secure solution without draining the resouces of my XP PC. I also used AdAware - did try Windows Defender for a while but it did not seem to be doing anything?

I have at last changed to a new Vista PC and plan to use the same combination of Comodo/AVG. I have already installed AVG but am relying on the Vista firewall pending this decision.

If I turn of Vista Firewall and install Comodo, what do I do with Windows Defender as this seems to be integrated into the Vista security system? Will there be any conflicts with this combination?

Windows defender doesn't do anything including picking up spyware although sometimes it fails to update. It shouldn't conflict with anything.

Although vista's firewall is much better than xp's, i would still disable it and use comodo - IMHO the best free firewall
