Connecting to two different networks
I have a PC that must connect to two different networks. Both networks have Internet access. However, I only want to connect to the Internet using one of the two networks and blocking Internet access (not network access) on the remaining network. My solution is to use two different network cards in the PC but I am not sure how to restrict Internet access on the one of the two networks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Running Windows XP Pro.

Are the two networks connected?

Do the two networks have seperate network ip addresses? eg one is 192.168.x.x and the other is 172.16.x.x ?

If you configure your tcp/ip properties, you will see a field named 'default gateway', The default gateway determines which one of your two networks is used to connect to the internet.
