Solved: Will infected Laptop infect my Linksys
Hi, A friend of mine wants to go up on my wireless unsecured Linksys Jack connection. Her Laptop has a virus or something. Can it infect my Lynksys?
Any help appreciated

No, but I wouldn't have my computer running at the same time your friend is on just to be safe. I do this often when trying to clean a virus off of someone's computer, I just don't run my computers until their problem is cleared or disconnected from the network.

As Wino said above, just disconnect all your computers from the linksys before she connects to be safe. depending on exactly what virus/spyware she has on her pc your linksys router should be ok. the worst that could happen (if she had a certain virus) is some of your router settings get changed which you could easily fix by resetting the router, but that most likely won't happen.

Thank-you both so much....we did get the virus cleansed, and I will be careful of that.

As stated, it won't infect the router/switch. But depending on the virus or malware it can spread to other PCs connected to the network. So better to unplug the one that is infected until it is clean so it doesn't infect the other PCs.
