Need to format hard disk
Need to format viruus infected IBM Thinkpad T40
My laptop has become heavily virus infected and needs to be formatted
I do not have original o/s disk. It is out of warranty also.It does not boot up always.
How can I format it in order to reinstall windows xp.thanks.

There may be a recovery partition or you may be able to restore to factory settings. In any event, this is not the correct forum so I'll close this thread.

Please post your question in the XP operating system forum for assistance.
